Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, in his opening remarks emphasized, “We are facing three fundamental issues to address. First, how do we redefine growth that respects environmental integrity and human well-being? Second, how can we boost technological breakthroughs that uplift many people? And third, how can we ensure that governance and collaboration bridge global insights with local actions?”
Key messages were also delivered by several prominent figures, including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon via a video message, and Dr. Arun Majumdar, Dean of the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. In the panel session moderated by Gita Wirjawan, three distinguished speakers — Dr. Yi Cui, Dr. William Chueh, and Prof. David Cohen — shared perspectives integrating scientific advancement, economic strategy, social inclusion, and geopolitical awareness for better development.
