Yogyakarta, June 26th 2026 – I Made Chandra Mandira, a doctoral student in the National Resilience Doctoral Program at the Graduate School, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), served as a speaker at a Sharing Session entitled “Publishing Bibliometric Papers in Reputable International Journals.” The online event was organized by the Library of the Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and was attended by approximately 60 participants, most of whom were master’s and doctoral students of various universities.
The session aimed to enhance participants’ academic capacity in preparing and publishing bibliometric-based scientific articles in reputable international journals. During the two-hour session, participants gained insights into the process of writing scholarly articles, selecting appropriate target journals, navigating the submission process, responding to reviewers’ comments during revisions, and successfully achieving publication. The interactive discussion also provided participants with the opportunity to consult on common challenges encountered throughout the publication process.
I Made Chandra Mandira, in this session, expressed his hope that the knowledge and experience shared would encourage more students to produce high-quality scientific publications and strengthen the global competitiveness of Indonesian research. The initiative also reflects Universitas Gadjah Mada’s commitment to foster a strong research and publication culture as part of developing highly qualified human resources.
This activity also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by strengthening information literacy, enhancing academic competencies, and building researchers’ capacity to produce high-quality scientific publications in reputable international journals.
