SPs UGM Welcomes Fulbright Scholar from the University of Maryland to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

Yogyakarta, March 9th 2026 — The Graduate School (SPs) of Universitas Gadjah Mada welcomed an international visiting scholar, Prof. Dr. Mega Subramaniam from the University of Maryland College Park, United States, with Fulbright Scholar Program managed by the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF).

The presence of Prof. Mega Subramaniam reflects SPs UGM’s commitment in strengthening international academic collaboration in enhancing the quality of learning within the Graduate School. During her time at SPs UGM, Prof. Mega will participate in various academic activities, including teaching, delivering public lectures, engaging in curriculum development discussions, and mentoring students in their thesis research.

SPs UGM, with the Fulbright program, provides international academic exposure for students and faculty members and also expands global collaboration networks and enriches scholarly perspectives in the field of information and library management.

The presence of Prof. Mega Subramaniam is expected to foster productive collaboration between Indonesian and international academics, and further strengthen the role of SPs UGM in developing an inclusive and sustainable knowledge ecosystem.
