Yogyakarta, May 10th 2026 — The Leadership and Policy Innovation (KIK) Master and Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada held a Workshop on Curriculum Development, Accreditation Preparation, and the Socialization of the New Vision and Mission on May 9th–10th 2026, in Kaliurang, Yogyakarta. The event was organized as part of the program’s efforts to strengthen academic governance and preparation for the LAMPSPAK accreditation assessment.
The workshop was attended by faculty members, administrative staff, and the program supporting team. They are involved in academic development and accreditation preparation. Conducted intensively over two days, the workshop focused on curriculum evaluation, strategic program development, and mapping the program’s preparation for accreditation documentation.
The first day, the workshop began with discussions on website review and promotional strategies for the program. This session highlighted the importance of strengthening the program’s identity in digital spaces as part of enhancing academic visibility and institutional public communication. Participants discussed the development of academic information, publication strategies for institutional activities, and the optimization of digital media to support program promotion.
The workshop then continued with discussions on the Self-Evaluation Report (FED) in relation to g the criteria fulfillment for superior accreditation. Various strategic aspects were addressed, including the percentage of faculty members affiliated with academic associations, the relevance of faculty expertise on the study program, graduate GPA averages, international scientific publications by faculty members, and the strengthening of academic support facilities such as laboratories and learning infrastructures.
The discussions were conducted actively, with participants contributing various suggestions related to strengthening the program quality indicators. The discussions focused not only on meeting administrative accreditation requirements but also on the efforts to improve academic quality in a sustainable manner.
The workshop, in addition to accreditation preparation, also served as a forum for the socialization and finalization of the new curriculum for the KIK Program. During this session, participants discussed the program’s new vision and mission, its academic distinctiveness, graduate profiles, and the direction of future student competency development.
Curriculum discussions also covered course structures, credit distribution, and adjustments to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). These adjustments were part of the efforts to enhance curriculum quality to be more adaptive to the developments in academic disciplines, labor market demands, and the dynamics of higher education policies.
On the second day, participants continued the curriculum review and refinement of the Self-Evaluation Report. The workshop concluded with the formulation of a Follow-Up Action Plan as a strategic step for the accreditation site assessment’s preparation. The action plan was designed to ensure that all matters discussed during the workshop could be established in a measurable and sustainable manner.
The Leadership and Policy Innovation Master’s and Doctoral Program at the UGM Graduate School, through this workshop, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen academic quality, curriculum development, and study program governance. The workshop is expected to serve as a momentum for strengthening internal collaboration while enhancing the program’s preparation to encounter accreditation processes and develop more adaptive and competitive higher education practices.
