  1. (IMPORTANT) CHANGES FOR THE CONFERENCE DATES

    The IGSCI was originally scheduled to be held from 1st to 4th December 2009. Because of some technical problems, the conference dates schedule has changed from 4 days to 2 days conference, and now will be held from the 1st to 2nd of December 2009. The organizers apologize for this inconvenience.

  2. VENUE

    The conference, which includes the opening session, plenary sessions and the panel sessions, will be held in the Postgraduate School of Gadjah Mada University (Sekolah Pascasarjana UGM), Jalan Teknika Utara Pogung Yogyakarta 55281. This campus venue is located approximately 200 meters on the north side of Sardjito Public Hospital Yogyakarta or 200 meters from the west side of Jalan Kaliurang KM 4.5.


    For presenters coming from foreign countries and have never visited Indonesia before, taxi is the most convenient transport to get to this place.
    The opening and the plenary Sessions will be held in the Auditorium hall of the main building, located on the 5th floor. The panel sessions will be held in the rooms of the main building and rooms in another adjacent building located at the back of the main building (on top of BNI Bank).

  3. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

    This conference will bring together more than 200 scholars coming from over 15 different countries who are interested in studying contemporary Indonesia. For The participants who would like to attend the conference, we wait for your registration up to 15th of November 2009. Please complete the attach registration form in the last page of this document. The participants should attach the receipt of registration payment together with the form of registration. Below is the information about the payment.

  4. REGISTRATION FEES

    This conference includes a registration fee. The participants fees are as follow:

    Participants (not presenting paper) coming from universities in Indonesia : IDR. 250.000


    Participants (not presenting paper) coming from universities outside Indonesia : US$ 30.00

    The organizers will provide the seminar kit, certificate, and coffee breaks and lunch for the 2 conference days. The participants have to pay their own transport and accommodation. Yogyakarta is one of the cheapest cities in Indonesia and you could easily find the cheap hotels and accommodation for your stay here. For more detail information about the hotels, the organizers would recommend the guest houses of the universities and the hotels close to the university. We recommend the guest houses below:

    Please book the rooms in advance. The room rates of these guest houses range from IDR 150.000 (US$15) to IDR 400.000 (US$40) per day.

  5. VISA

    If you need a Visa to come to Indonesia for the conference, please let us know so we will send you an invitation letter.

  6. THE SCHEDULE

    The detail schedule of the international graduate conference is from 1st to the 2nd of December 2009, which will be announced in the conference website. Please check our website regularly to have the up to date information about the conference (www.pasca.ugm.ac.id)
