Thursday, December 3rd, 2009, Media and Cultural Studies Program together with the Center for Religion and Cross-Cultural Studies (CRCS), the Graduate School Gadjah Mada University hold a public lecture delivered by Prof. Chua Beng Huat (Provost Profesor from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the leader of Cultural Studies in Asia Research Cluster, Asia Research Institute, National University of Singapore). The theme of this lecture was “Cultural Studies in Asia”. Secara spesifik Prof. Chua Beng Huat membahas tentang “Malay Language Pop Culture: An Agenda for Research”

The Public lecture that has been delivered at 08.30-11.30 in the 5th floor, Seminar room, the Graduate School building was attended by more than 220 participants. They were not only students, but also graduate students as well as lecturers from Gadjah Mada University and others campuses around this university. Power point download here.
