Jogja, The calm atmosphere at the UGM Graduate School that morning suddenly became frenzied and panicked after a fire screamed from the 1st Floor Hall followed by an alarm sounding a danger signal. The employees immediately rushed out of the building via the emergency response to the gathering point on the side of the building. On the back side of the building, there was a scream for help from a victim who was still trapped on the 2nd floor, covered in smoke.

Shortly afterward, sirens could be heard roaring from two fire engines that immediately entered the graduate area. The officers swiftly installed fire extinguishers and sprayed water into the center of the thick billowing smoke.

Meanwhile, other officers immediately handled the victims according to their circumstances. A broken bone victim was seen being carried on a stretcher and given help by medical personnel at the gathering point area. Two other injured victims were also immediately provided with help. After receiving adequate treatment from the medical team, the victims were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital by ambulance.

Thanks to the alertness of the officers, finally the emergency situation in this five-story building was quickly brought under control.
