Media and Cultural Studies Program (KBM) at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada held a lively KBM Potluck event on Saturday 14th February 2026, at 10:00 AM (WIB) at the SPs Canteen. The event brought together students in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, fostering stronger bonds across cohorts.

Adopting a potluck concept, participants were invited to bring their favorite dishes to share. A wide variety of food was served, ranging from traditional snacks to modern treats. The canteen transformed into a vibrant social space where students could connect beyond their academic routines.

The event was further enlivened by interactive games that encouraged enthusiasm and participation. The activities successfully created a cheerful environment, strengthening camaraderie among students. Participants, through these games, were able to engage more openly and build closer relationships within the academic community.

In addition to the fun activities, the potluck also featured an informal discussion session. In a more relaxed setting, students exchanged ideas about coursework, research experiences, and critical perspectives on cultural and media issues. The discussion reflected the strong academic spirit of the Media and Cultural Studies program, demonstrating that intellectual engagement continues beyond formal classroom settings.

The KBM Potluck served as a meaningful platform to nurture solidarity, collaboration, and intellectual exchange among students. Through simple yet impactful interactions, the event reinforced both social connections and academic networks within the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada.

The program is expected to become a recurring agenda, further strengthening the sense of community within the Media and Cultural Studies program in the future.
