Yogyakarta, July 23rd 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again conferred degrees upon its master’s and doctoral students in the 4th Graduation Period of the 2024/2025 academic year. In this period, a total of 49 graduates passed, comprising 40 master’s (S2) and 9 doctoral (S3) graduates.
Among the total graduates, there were 19 male and 21 female students, reflecting the spirit of equality and diversity within the academic community of UGM Graduate School. Academic achievements were outstanding, with the highest GPA for the master level reaching 3.98, and 3.99 for the doctoral level.
The Dean of UGM Graduate School, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed her appreciation and high hopes for all graduates. She emphasized the unique strength of UGM Graduate School lies in its multidisciplinary approach, which is crucial in addressing complex societal challenges.
“We hope that UGM Graduate School graduates will not only be problem solvers but also pioneers who carry the spirit of integrity in every step and decision they make,” she stated.
The Dean also reminded all graduates to maintain strong ties with their alma mater, and to actively contribute to enhancing the three pillars of higher education (tridarma)—education, research, and community service—both within UGM and in broader national and global contexts.
This graduation marks not only the end of their academic journey but also the beginning of their real contribution in building a more just, ethical, and sustainable society.
