The 42nd Anniversary series of the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) officially commenced on Friday, August 22nd 2025. As an annual tradition, the opening began with an aerobics session joined by the leaders, faculty members, staff, and students. This year celebration felt more special with the presence of the iconic Senam Kesehatan Jasmani (SKJ 88).

SKJ 88, first introduced by the Indonesian government in 1988, was designed to promote public health. At SPs UGM, SKJ 88 evoked warm memories of the past. Its simple movements, accompanied by cheerful music, created a lively atmosphere throughout the opening session. All participants enthusiastically followed the instructor’s lead in unison.

Following the aerobics, the program continued with welcoming remarks. The beating of the gong by Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of SPs UGM, marked the official opening of the 42nd Anniversary. The event also featured the launch of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovation of SPs UGM.

The entire SPs UGM academic community expressed their hopes for continuous progress and greater contributions to society. The opening ceremony concluded with various performances and door prize giveaways.
