Yogyakarta, August 28th 2025 – The Population Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM), in collaboration with the Laboratory of Population and Economic Resources (KSE) at the Faculty of Geography UGM, held a scientific discussion titled “An Introduction to Logistic Regression.” The event took place in the KSE Lab Room, Building B, Faculty of Geography, UGM.
The discussion was conducted in a hybrid format and attended by lecturers and graduate students (Master’s and Doctoral) from the Geography Faculty. The speaker for this event was Dr. Nanang Widaryoko, M.Si., an alumnus of the Population Doctoral Program and a staff member of Statistics Indonesia (BPS RI).
The speaker delivered an engaging presentation on the logistic regression’s fundamentals and sharing tips for improving data analysis skills. The discussion aimed to deepen understanding of logistic regression methods, especially in the context of social research.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session of the participants and the speaker. It is hoped that similar activities will be held regularly to enhance statistical literacy and research quality among both lecturers and students.
