Yogyakarta 3rd June 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) welcomed a visit from PT Halmahera Persada Lygend as part of a strategic dialogue on environmental issues and the future of sustainable development. This visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen synergy between the industrial and academic sectors in addressing ecological crises and climate change.

The discussion focused on the importance of cross-sector collaboration to preserve environmental balance, including the integration of green economy principles, sustainable resource management, and the reinforcement of environmental education. SPs UGM, during the visit, also presented its sustainability initiatives, notably the development of Wisdom Park, an educational park that promotes water conservation, green open space, and biodiversity preservation.

Wisdom Park was showcased as a concrete example of how a campus environment can serve as an ecological learning space, an inclusive public area, and a reflective zone that strengthens sustainability values. Designed as a contemplative space, the park supports multidisciplinary learning and real-world practices for building a life in harmony with nature.

Dr. Priyaji Agung Pambudi from the SPs UGM Cooperation Unit facilitated the meeting. He expressed hope that this visit would become the starting point for ongoing collaboration in research, community engagement, and educational programs that support environmental conservation.
