SPs UGM Produced 79 High-Achieving Graduates

The Graduate School (SPs) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conferred degrees on 79 master and doctoral graduates at the Graduate Commencement Ceremony for Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. In this period, SPs graduated 65 master’s students and 14 doctoral students. Prior to this ceremony, SPs UGM graduates had participated in the university-level commencement together with postgraduate students from other faculties on Wednesday (21st January 2026) at Graha Sabha Pramana, UGM.

The prestige for the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) was awarded to Nanang Widyaryoko from the Population Doctoral Program who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00 over a study period of 3 years, 11 months, and 15 days. Meanwhile, the title of fastest graduate was earned by Retno Putri from the Leadership and Policy Innovation Master Program with a study period of 1 year, 4 months, and 7 days, and Iga Maliga from the Environmental Science Doctoral Program with a study period of 2 years, 10 months, and 6 days.

The youngest graduate at the master’s level was Anggi Apriliani from the Development Extension and Communication Master Program, at 23 years, 7 months, and 25 days. At the doctoral level, the youngest graduate was Natasha Belandina Cornelin Abolla from the Environmental Science Doctoral Program, at 28 years, 11 months, and 1 day.

The Dean of the Graduate School of UGM, Siti Malkhamah, extended her congratulations to all graduates for successfully completing their studies. She emphasized the commencement is not the end, but rather the beginning of a new journey for graduates to move into the next phase of life and make meaningful contributions to society, the nation, and the academic world.
