Yogyakarta, August 22nd 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) officially launched the Journal of Cross-Disciplinary Innovation in conjunction with the opening of its 42nd Anniversary Celebration on Friday (22/8). This launch marks a significant milestone in strengthening cross-disciplinary academic traditions and fostering the creation of innovative works that bring broad impact to society.

The Dean of SPs UGM, in her remarks,  emphasized that the journal is not merely a space for scientific publication, but also a platform for collaboration among academics, researchers, and practitioners from diverse fields. The Journal of Cross-Disciplinary Innovation is expected to serve as a medium that connects ideas from multiple perspectives and generates comprehensive solutions to contemporary challenges.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of the academic community, students, alumni, and SPs’ strategic partners. In addition to the journal launch, the 42nd Anniversary series also featured interactive activities such as games designed to strengthen togetherness and camaraderie among participants.

SPs UGM reaffirmed its commitment, through the launch of this journal, to remain adaptive to global changes, expand its international academic networks, and act as a driving force for cross-disciplinary innovation. The presence of this journal is expected to inspire the emergence of works that are not only academically excellent but also provide tangible contributions to national development and global progress.
