The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) conducted financial training for the SPs UGM finance team on Wednesday and Thursday, January 22nd–23rd, 2025. The training was themed “Financial Excellence: Thrive to Optimal Performance,” aimed to improve the financial management knowledge and skills of administrative staff in line with UGM’s policies and regulations, to drive optimal performance.

The training was opened by the Chief of the Administration Office of SPs UGM, Ika Krisnadewi, S.Psi., M.Sc. In her remarks, Ika emphasized the importance of this training and encouraged participants to actively engage in discussions to broaden their insights and understanding of financial management. Furthermore, Ika explained that SPs UGM supports employee self-development activities, one of which is organizing various training programs.

“SPs is committed in organizing competency improvement programs for all employees as well as specialized development programs tailored to specific job fields, including finance,” Ika explained.

SPs UGM for this training invited resource persons from the UGM Directorate of Finance to share insights on financial management. The materials presented included guidelines on budget preparation, revenue, verification of financial transaction accountability, expenditure, taxation, and financial reporting preparation.

The event proceeded seamlessly, featuring active discussions between participants and speakers. SPs aims for this self-development initiative to refresh knowledge and enhance the performance of finance staff. Additionally, the training is expected to strengthen the collaboration between SPs and the UGM Directorate of Finance.
