The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) joined the Health Fest organized by the Health Promotion University (HPU) UGM in collaboration with the Integrated Health Services Bureau (BKT) on Friday, January 3rd 2025. The event kicked off the first Friday of 2025 with Fun Run and Healthy Walk activities, involving various UGM academic communities.

The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle within the campus environment. Prof. Dra. Raden Ajeng Yayi Suryo Prabandari, M.Si., Ph.D., in her remarks, emphasized that exercise is a vital part of a healthy lifestyle. “Regular and measured exercise can improve vital body signs, such as heart rate and blood sugar, while providing significant benefits for mental health,” she stated.

Head of BKT, Dr. Andreasta Meliala, M.Kes., highlighted this activity as the first step in a series of efforts to support HPU UGM’s program to create a healthier campus community. “Through collaboration among various work units, we can improve physical and mental health while fostering a sense of togetherness,” he added.

The event was filled with enthusiasm, with participation from various campus elements, including students, faculty, and staff. This moment marked the beginning of UGM’s vision to become a campus committed to promoting the health and well-being of its academic community.
