Yogyakarta, September 18th 2026 — Skill, strategy, and sportsmanship took center stage as part of the 43rd Anniversary celebration of the Graduate School (SPs) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The table tennis tournament, held on September 17th–18th 2026, provided an opportunity for students to compete while strengthening camaraderie with the UGM Graduate School community.
Eight participants began the competition with the preliminary round held on Thursday, September 17th The tournament brought together students from various programs and adopted a knockout system, with participants advancing to the subsequent rounds.
The table tennis tournament, beyond the pursuit of victory, highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship as an integral part of the 43rd Anniversary celebration of UGM Graduate School. Participants competed in individual matches while adhering to the established rules and respecting the decisions of the judges.
Izul Haq Claims First Place. After progressing through the series of matches, Izul Haq from the Religion and Cross-Cultural Master’s Program claimed first place. Wisnu Wardana from the Cultural and Media Master Program finished in second place, followed by M. Syahdan Irsyad from the Higher Education Management Master’s Program in third place. Meanwhile, Yusuf Salsa from the Tourism Master’s Program secured fourth place.
These four participants are the top finishers in the table tennis tournament held as part of the 43rd Anniversary celebration of UGM Graduate School.
The table tennis tournament served as one of the highlights of the 43rd Anniversary celebration, bringing together members of the academic community in an academic setting and with activities to foster camaraderie and healthy competition.
