Yogyakarta, July 13th 2026 — The Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies Program (PSPSR), Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) officially received a working and benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). This strategic meeting was held on Friday, July 10th 2026, taking place in Meeting Room C, 5th Floor, of the SPs UGM Building. The main focus of this activity was an in-depth discussion regarding institutional governance, particularly at the Doctoral Program level. This visit served as a follow-up to the official request letter from FSRD UNS to strengthen institutional capacity among state universities. Through this forum, both institutions committed to sharing best practices in managing advanced education within the fields of arts and humanities.

The delegation from FSRD UNS was directly led by the Vice Dean for Academic and Research Affairs, Dr. Desy Nurcahyanti, S.Sn., M.Hum., along with the Chief of the Fine Arts Master’s Program, Dr. Sayid Mataram, S.Sn., M.Sn. Their arrival was warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources of SPs UGM, Dr. techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom. This governance benchmarking activity strongly aligns with the commitment of Universitas Gadjah Mada in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This academic governance dialogue contributes directly to the enhancement of Quality Education (SDG 4) by ensuring the curriculum remains relevant and inclusive. This step is considered crucial for producing doctoral graduates who are highly competent and adaptive in the fields of arts and culture. Furthermore, this meeting of PSPSR UGM and FSRD UNS serves as a concrete manifestation of strengthening Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). This strategic partnership of higher education institutions is expected to continuously increase institutional capacity for the advancement of higher education in Indonesia.
