The event was designed as an academic strategy to accelerate the completion of doctoral dissertations in a focused and structured manner.
The boot camp was attended by doctoral students of PSPSR and featured a series of structured activities, including study progress evaluation, intensive supervision sessions with promoters and co-promoters, independent dissertation writing time, and training on writing scientific articles for reputable international journals. Designed as an academic retreat, the format allowed participants to detach from daily routines and concentrate fully on their dissertation work.
The activity was directly supervised by Dr. Budi Irawanto, M.A., Chief of the PSPSR Doctoral Program at SPs UGM. In his address, he emphasized the importance of commitment and consistency in completing doctoral studies on time, encouraging students to make the most of this opportunity to accelerate their writing progress.
The boot camp, beyond academic sessions, also served as a platform for students to share experiences, strengthen academic networks, and foster a collaborative atmosphere that supports academic success. The presence of the Chief of Program and supervising lecturers added depth and motivation to the event.
PSPSR, through this Dissertation Boot Camp, reaffirms its commitment in supporting students to finish their studies optimally, strengthening the quality of graduate education, and enhancing graduate competitiveness on both national and international levels.
