Health Promotion University (HPU) UGM and the Integrated Health Services Bureau (BKT) once again organized the Pos Pembinaan Terpadu (Posbindu) as part of their ongoing efforts to maintain the health of the UGM academic community. The event was held on March 14th 2025, at Balairung UGM. Despite taking place during the holy month of Ramadan, the activity was carried out as scheduled to ensure that the entire academic community could carry out fasting in optimal physical condition.

Posbindu is a monthly health monitoring program that includes blood pressure checks, blood sugar and cholesterol tests, as well as general health consultations. This time, the event also featured a “Curhat Corner” (psychological consultation) and a nutrition consultation service, further enhancing its benefits.

According to Fika, one of the Posbindu SPs UGM volunteers, participants remained highly enthusiastic despite fasting. “We noticed that many members of the academic community continue to be mindful of their health during Ramadan. This time, the nutrition consultation focused on maintaining a healthy diet for suhoor and iftar to stay energized throughout the day,” she stated.

In addition to health check-ups, participants also received educational sessions on maintaining a healthy lifestyle during Ramadan, including tips on balancing nutrition intake, getting sufficient rest, and engaging in appropriate physical activities.

UGM aims to help its academic community, by ensuring the continuation of Posbindu during Ramadan, maintain optimal health, allowing them to perform their fasting obligations without compromising academic or work productivity.
