October 22nd 2026, Yogyakarta — The National Resilience Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada successfully facilitated the monitoring and evaluation activities for scholarship students from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia. This strategic event took place on Wednesday, October 22nd 2026, at the UGM campus in Yogyakarta. The evaluation process was accompanied by university representatives from the Directorate of Student Affairs and the Directorate of Education and Teaching. This collaborative measure was carefully executed to ensure that all academic processes for the scholarship participants proceed smoothly. Such institutional synergy serves as a tangible manifestation of a shared commitment to maintain higher education standards.

The monitoring and evaluation session was directly led by Colonel Inf Raden Immanuel Tjandra M, S.E., M.Si., serving as the Chief of the Sub-Directorate of Educational Development under the Directorate of Human Resources. The presence of the Ministry of Defense’s Directorate General of Defense Strength leadership was warmly welcomed by the management program. During the session, a comprehensive report detailing the academic progress of military personnel pursuing advanced degrees was presented. This periodic evaluation encompasses rigorous monitoring of student progress at both the master’s and doctoral levels. The interactive meeting aimed to identify potential academic challenges encountered by the participants in the field.

The scholarship participants based on the evaluation reports presented have demonstrated highly positive and well-guided academic progress according to schedule. Ndaru Sukmono Aji from the National Resilience Doctoral Program is currently awaiting journal acceptance confirmation as a graduation requirement. Meanwhile, Rizky Romadhona is refining and revising the dissertation draft following constructive feedback from academic advisors. Diana Agustianingsih, also pursuing a doctoral degree, has officially entered the early stages of dissertation advising. Furthermore, Bambang Satriadi from the National Resilience Master Program has commenced intensive thesis guidance sessions.

This monitoring and evaluation initiative showed the Ministry of Defense and UGM remain firmly committed to ensure participants complete their studies optimally and on schedule. This strategic initiative aligned directly with Sustainable Development Goal 4 concerning quality education. Such close cooperation fully supported inclusive, equitable, and high-quality higher education access for all aspiring scholars. It is anticipated that the knowledge acquired during their studies will contribute significantly to strengthening national defense and resilience. The entire event concluded with high optimism to further reinforce inter-institutional collaboration in the future.
