After completing his school education, Mohammed received a scholarship from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to pursue an undergraduate degree in biotechnology at Osmania University, Hyderabad. His deep interest in biotechnology has now brought him to Indonesia with the KNB scholarship to pursue his master’s degree at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Mohammed shared that his fascination with Indonesian culture and UGM’s renowned academic reputation motivated him to apply for the scholarship.
“The KNB Scholarship gives me the opportunity to learn more about Indonesian culture and language and experience a comfortable study environment in Yogyakarta,” said Mohammed. His initial impression of SPs UGM’s academic environment was highly positive. He appreciates the warmth and support from staff, lecturers, and fellow students, considering SPs UGM an ideal place for both academic and personal development. Mohammed also highlighted SPs UGM’s excellence as a center of multi-, inter-, and intradisciplinary education rooted in local wisdom.
As a master’s student in biotechnology, Mohammed hopes to deepen his knowledge and contribute to the field of biotechnology research. He aspires to make meaningful contributions to the rapidly advancing field of biotechnology with a strong determination to pursue a doctoral degree (Ph.D.). Although the uncertain situation in Palestine may influence his future steps, he remains optimistic and eager to pursue higher education.
