Gadjah Mada University Postgraduate School (SPs UGM) held self-development activities for the entire academic community, especially lecturers and education staff with an interesting theme related to financial literacy. This activity was successfully carried out on November 29th 2024 in the SPs UGM Auditorium.

“We hope that this activity can open up insight for the academic community, especially regarding income management,” said Dr. techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom., Deputy Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources SPs UGM when giving an introduction in accordance with the activity theme, namely “Financial Wise: Smart Steps to Manage Income”.

The event Invited competent speakers in the field of financial planning, namely Himawan Adhi, S.E., MBA., CFP, financial planner and business coach. SPs also invited a partner from PT Bank Nasional Indonesia (BNI), namely Devy Kurniawan, to share an interesting presentation regarding investment.

Himawan Adhi explained how to manage finances to achieve more prosperous life. The SPs UGM academic community received insight into being smart and careful in managing their income, especially to be able to differentiate between primary and secondary needs. Being wise in financial behavior is one of the keys to achieving a prosperous life.

The second session was presented by Devy Kurniawan from PT BNI. Devy conveyed investment tips, especially for generation Z who are entering the working age. “Investment can be done with very affordable capital, so it is not burdensome for those who want to start investing,” said Devy.

This activity is a form of collaboration between SPs UGM and BNI. So far, the collaboration between the two parties has resulted in several programs such as BNI Flexi, payroll through BNI, and the issuance of KTA (Alumni Identity Cards).
