Yogyakarta (27/08) – The Master’s Program in Leadership and Policy Innovation at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (MKIK SPs UGM) has successfully earned “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This achievement was granted through the Decree of the Executive Director of BAN-PT No. 5590/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/M/VIII/2024, issued on August 27th  2024. This “Unggul” accreditation is a recognition of the quality of education provided by the MKIK SPs UGM, particularly in producing graduates who are competent in the fields of leadership and policy innovation. This accomplishment demonstrates that the program has successfully met the national higher education standards at an outstanding level.

The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation of SPs UGM, Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., stated that this achievement is the beginning of a greater challenge. “The achievement of the Unggul accreditation is not only a testament to the quality of the program but also the start of continuous efforts to further enhance the quality of education in the field of policy innovation. The challenges ahead are becoming more complex, and we are ready to face them even better,” he said.

The Chief of the Leadership and Policy Innovation Master Program, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Maryudi, S.Hut., M.For., also agreed with the statement and added that the hard work of the entire team, along with the support from students and alumni, has brought the program to this level of success. “We are not only proud of this achievement but also committed to continually developing the quality of education that is both excellent and relevant to future needs,” he added.

It is hoped that with the achievement of the Unggul accreditation, the Leadership and Policy Innovation Master Program will continue to maintain and improve the quality of postgraduate education, as well as contribute significantly to the development of knowledge and innovative policies in Indonesia.
