On Wednesday, May 14th 2025, the Cultural and Media Studies Master Program (KBM) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a colloquium in Conference Room A, 5th Floor of the Graduate School. The event took place from 12.00 to 16.30 and aimed to provide a platform for critical discussion among the Cultural and Media Studies Master Program students, and was expected to accelerate the thesis research process conducted by students.
The colloquium serves as a monitoring tool and a space for presenters to share their research and research ideas. The event was designed to encourage dialog and exchange among participants, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to contribute to the discussion. The event was attended by 25 people, including students, alumni from the KBM study program, and the public.
One of the distinguished guests at the colloquium was Professor Eva Warth, a guest speaker chosen for her expertise in the field. Her presence added significant value to the discussions, as she provided thought-provoking and relevant insights to the topics presented. Students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to interact with such a knowledgeable figure, emphasizing the colloquium great help in their academic journey.
Among the students who presented their research were Shafira Karima Ardanareswari, Abd. Haris Nusa Bela, Yovita Amalia, Mahfud Ainun Najib, and Zahara Nisa Fadila. Each of them brought unique perspectives and findings to the table, enriching the overall discussion of the event. Their presentations covered various aspects of cultural and media studies, reflecting the diverse interests and research areas within the program.
