Graduate School of UGM Attends Branding Image Improvement Workshop, Emphasizes Stakeholder-Oriented Approach

Yogyakarta, June 18th 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) participated in a workshop entitled “Enhancing Brand Image with a Stakeholder-Oriented Approach” held at Wisdom Park UGM. This activity was part of UGM’s effort to strengthen the public relations function within the university environment.

The event was officially opened by the General Manager of UGM Residence, Ms. Wijayanti, S.IP., M.Sc., representing the University Secretariat. She stated that the workshop is a form of the university’s commitment in improving institutional communication quality and brand image through a more strategic and stakeholder-oriented approach.

The main session was led by speaker Pratiwi Damayanti, S.I.P., who highlighted the crucial role of customer service in building and maintaining the university’s brand image. Her presentation emphasized the importance of empathy, consistency, and effective communication in fostering good relations with various stakeholders such as students, the media, the general public, and the government.

The discussion session was dynamic, reflecting the participants’ enthusiasm in deepening their understanding of customer-centered communication strategies. This workshop is expected to enhance UGM’s public relations capacity in maintaining and strengthening institutional reputation amidst the challenges of the digital era and technological transformation.
