Yogyakarta, July 19th, 2024 – The Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University (SPs UGM) participated in a mini tournament to support the 61st Anniversary of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Gadjah Mada University (FTP UGM). In addition to SPs UGM, the mini tournament was also attended by the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM and UGM Residence.
Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Harto Widodo, S.T.P., M.Eng., Deputy Dean for Finance, Assets, Human Resources, and Information Systems at FTP UGM, while opening the volleyball mini tournament, said that volleyball is one of the sports that is very popular among FTP members. Through this sport, it is hoped that it will strengthen ties of friendship, foster camaraderie, and enhance unity among employees in the Gadjah Mada University environment. “This friendly volleyball match is not about who wins or loses, but to foster brotherhood, promote sports, and instill a spirit for healthy living,” he said.
In participating in the volleyball mini tournament, SPs UGM has selected nine administrative staff members, namely Faisal Arifin, Junianto, Setya Pambudi, Rudi Eko Prasetyo, Amri Yahya, Mardiyana, Faisal Lukman, Arif Setiawan, and Soenarko. The SPs volleyball team is guided by Harna Siswanto, Joko Waluyo, and Achmad Ali C. Ika Krisnadewi, S.Psi., M.Sc., Head of the Administration Office, who in her direction stated, “We do not have to win, but play sportively and uphold competitive values to avoid injuries.”
The hope from this activity is that the spirit of togetherness and unity among administrative staff in the UGM environment will grow stronger. Additionally, it is also hoped that through activities like this, all participants can maintain their health through regular sports and strengthen inter-unit relationships at UGM. Support from all parties will play a crucial role in the success of every activity held. SPs UGM hopes to continue to actively participate in various similar activities in the future.
