Yogyakarta (19/10/2024) – In celebration of the 41st Anniversary of the School of Graduate Studies at Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM), the Family Gathering event was filled with joy and excitement as various fun competitions brought together participants of all ages, from children to adults. Held in the courtyard of SPs UGM, the event successfully strengthened the sense of togetherness among the academic community and the extended SPs UGM family through moments of laughter and friendly competition.

The festivities began with a coloring competition for children. Full of enthusiasm, the children of SPs UGM staff and faculty showcased their creativity on paper, cheered on by their supportive parents. The warm atmosphere was heightened by the sounds of cheerful laughter from every corner, creating unforgettable moments of togetherness.

The Dancing Chair competition added excitement for the adults. Faculty members, administrative staff, and students competed for chairs in a lighthearted yet lively contest. The enthusiastic cheers from the audience made the atmosphere even more festive.

Another highlight was the threading the needle competition, which brought smiles and laughter as participants of all ages tried their best to complete the challenge. The competition tested dexterity while fostering camaraderie among participants.

The rubber band throwing competition, a favorite at every celebration, was no less exciting. Faculty and staff eagerly aimed to land their rubber bands accurately, sparking laughter and joy throughout the event.

Dean of SPs UGM, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed her gratitude and pride for the success of the event. “This Family Gathering truly embodies the togetherness and family spirit of the entire SPs UGM academic community. Everyone, from children to adults, participated with enthusiasm and joy. This is the spirit of unity that we always strive to maintain at SPs UGM,” she said.

The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the competitions, accompanied by smiles and applause from all participants. The Family Gathering added a special touch to the 41st Anniversary celebration of SPs UGM, bringing joy, unity, and positive energy to everyone involved.
