Call for Papers : “Two Day International Conference on Gender and Politics”

Center for Women Studies, Gadjah Mada University and
The Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University are delighted to invite you to attend the two days International Conference on “Gender and Politics”. The conference is being organized by the Center for Women Studies, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The conference will be held from January 23 – 24, 2009 at 08.00 – 17.00 WIB, at Gedung Sekolah Pascasarjana Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. The speakers of the conference are Prof. Dr. Meutia Hatta (Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Mochtar Mas’oed (Indonesia), Dr. Ratna Saptari (Leiden University), Nurul Arifin, S. S., M. Si. (Indonesia), Ronald Kyagulanyi (Makerere University Kampala), Orin Stephany (Guyana University). The sub themes of conference are political party, election, politics, parliament, government, decision making, human rights, bureaucracy, etc.

The conference hopes to stimulate participants to move the world towards gender equity.
