The Disaster Management Master Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) organized a Curriculum Documentation Workshop. The three-day event was held from July 6th – 8th 2026, at the MMB ( Disaster Management Master Program, Universitas Gadjah Mada) UGM Hotel .
The workshop was attended by the Chief of the Program, the curriculum development team, the quality assurance unit, and student representatives. The primary objective of the workshop was to prepare and complete the curriculum documentation for the Master of Disaster Management Study Program in accordance with national standards and the needs of stakeholders.
The workshop began with the assignment of responsibilities to participants for completing the Semester Learning Plan (RPKPS) documents. Developing the RPKPS for all compulsory and elective courses to be implemented in the new curriculum is essential, and these documents serve as guidelines for lecturers in delivering course instruction.
The participants also attended presentations and discussions on the structure of the new curriculum. One of the key topics was the simplification of the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) to make them more focused, measurable, and aligned with the latest developments in disaster management studies.
The workshop continued with the finalization of all RPKPS documents with a comprehensive review of both compulsory and elective courses. The team also synchronized the curriculum structure with the revised academic documents to accommodate the policy on increasing the number of academic credits.
The workshop concluded with the presentation of the finalized curriculum documents. The entire series of activities resulted in a comprehensive final draft of the curriculum, which is now ready to proceed to the refinement stage and subsequent implementation in accordance with applicable regulations.
