Yogyakarta, March 6th 2026 — The Graduate School (SPs) of Universitas Gadjah Mada, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar), conducted a monitoring and evaluation (monev) activity for scholarship recipient students in the Master (S2) and Doctoral (S3) Programs in Tourism Studies.
The monitoring and evaluation activity was attended by the leaders of SPs UGM, the program’s administrators, and representatives from the Ministry of Tourism. On this occasion, the newly appointed Chief of the Program (Kaprodi) was also introduced to the representatives of the Ministry of Tourism.
Dr. Mohamad Yusuf, M.A., Chief of the Tourism Doctoral Program (S3), stated that the program continues to strive to provide more effective and adaptive learning schemes for students, particularly those from the Ministry of Tourism. The scheme is designed to support a more structured study process therefore students can complete their education on time and produce outstanding human resources in the tourism sector.
This monitoring and evaluation activity, in addition to discussing the academic progress of the students, also served as a discussion forum between SPs UGM and the Ministry of Tourism to strengthen synergy in the development of tourism education.
The chief of the Master (S2) and Doctoral (S3) Tourism Programs expressed hope that the existing collaboration will continue to grow in the field of education and also with expanded research collaboration and community service initiatives that can provide tangible contributions to the development of Indonesia’s tourism sector.
