Thursday (10/10), the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada held a Radio-based Communication Technical Guidance. Attended by the administrative staff of SPs UGM, the event aimed to improve work efficiency facilitated by the use of handy talkies in interpersonal communication.
To support work and teamwork, SPs UGM has begun utilizing handy talkies in daily communication. This medium is considered effective because it is radio-based, meaning it does not rely on public communication channels like mobile phones. Even when internet connectivity is unstable, the use of handy talkies can continue smoothly. This medium also ensures that team communication is effective and efficient.
Dr. techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom., the vice dean for finance, assets, and human resources at SPs UGM, served as the speaker. During the event, he covered everything from how to use the handy talkies to basic communication etiquette when using the device. The event not only included theoretical sessions but also practical exercises involving the participants.
“Getting to know more about communication using HT, maximizing the use of HT, and communication etiquette with radio,” said Aris, a participant, explaining the material he learned.
SPs hopes that through this technical guidance, the attending staff will gain a better understanding of the handy talkies operating system and learn the tools and features available, allowing radio-based communication with the device to run smoothly and support the staff in their daily tasks.
