Team Arif and Faisal Won 3rd Place in Badminton Competition at the 41st Dies of SPs UGM

Yogyakarta (09/18) – The badminton competition celebrating the 41st anniversary of the Graduate School (SPs) of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) was thrilling, featuring a tight rivalry between Team Arif Setiawan and Faisal Lukman Saifulah against Team Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., and Ramang Nurdiyansah. Both teams competed fiercely for the 3rd and 4th place positions.

Team Arif Setiawan and Faisal Lukman Saifulah emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 after an enthusiastic match securing the title of 3rd place. Meanwhile, Team Dr. Widyanto and Ramang had to settle for 4th place, despite putting up a strong fight throughout the two sets of the match.

Susanto, S.T., M.Sc., Coordinator for Administration, Finance, and General Affairs at the Graduate School, expressed pride in the sportsmanship displayed by all players. “We are very proud to see the spirit and sportsmanship shown by all the players. This match not only showcased athletic ability but also strengthened camaraderie among the entire academic community,” he stated.

This competition is part of a series of activities celebrating the 41st Dies of SPs UGM, aimed at fostering friendship and building a sense of togetherness among faculty, staff, and students. The atmosphere during the match was lively, supported by the high enthusiasm of the attending audience.

The victory of Team Arif and Faisal is a point of pride, not only for the players but also for all participants involved in this event. The 41st Dies of SPs UGM is hoped to continue being a momentum to strengthen solidarity and togetherness within the Graduate School of UGM.
