(1/8) After participating in the international conference, the 18th International Conference on Knowledge Management in Organizations (KMO) and the 12th Learning Technologies for Education Challenges (LTEC), Wahyu Supartono, Chief of the Master’s Program in Higher Education Management at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (MMPT SPs UGM), visited the College of Management at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST). The chief met with the Dean of the College of Management, Prof. Albert Jing-Fuh Yang, PhD.
This visit aims to explore potential collaborations between the NKUST College of Management and the UGM Graduate School, as well as several faculties related to management and economics. The NKUST College of Management, accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 1916, is a potential partner to strengthen study programs at UGM. Prof. Albert himself is a university task member of AACSB, providing coaching in the accreditation process for higher education institutions in the fields of economics, management, and business.
The NKUST College of Management was established in 1998 and currently has eight departments, namely: Department of Information Management, Department of Logistic Management, Department of Marketing and Distribution Management, Department of International Business, Department of Business Administration, Department of Risk Management and Insurance, Department of Money and Banking, Department of Finance, and Department of Human Resources. The college also has research centers or College Centers, including the Big Data Center, Supply Chain Center, Center of Cold Chain Logistic Certification, Smart Store Center, and Taiwan Hakka Industrial Economy and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center.
NKUST, which now manages several merged campuses by the Taiwanese Government for management efficiency, has 11 colleges focused on various fields, including business, management, engineering, social humanities, maritime, and foreign languages. This will make NKUST a strategic partner for developing future academic collaborations for MMPT programs at the UGM Graduate School.
