SPs UGM Supports Strengthening Health Literacy through DWP UGM Regular Meeting

Yogyakarta, August 11th 2026 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) participated in the Regular Meeting of Members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Universitas Gadjah Mada (DWP UGM), held on Tuesday, August 11th 2026, at the Bulaksumur Room, UC Hotel UGM. The event was attended by DWP administrators and members from various units within Universitas Gadjah Mada, including the Graduate School.

The regular meeting served as a forum for fostering fellowship as well as sharing knowledge and providing educational opportunities for DWP UGM members. The event began with attendance registration, an opening session, the singing of the Indonesian national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” the DWP Hymn, and the song “Hari Merdeka,” followed by remarks from representatives of the event organizing team and the Chairwoman of DWP UGM. The program also included the presentation of educational assistance before the main session.

Participants, in the main session, joined a talk show entitled “SENYUM: Socialization and Education on Pain for the Community,” featuring dr. Farhan Ali Rahman, Sp.An-TI., FIPM., Subsp.M.N(K). as the speaker and Dr. dr. Camelia Herdini, M.Kes., Sp.T.H.T.B.K.L., Subsp.Onk(K)., FICS. as the moderator. Through this activity, participants received information and education on pain as part of efforts to improve public understanding of health.

SPs UGM’s participation in the DWP UGM activity reflected the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange in the higher education environment. By combining fellowship, educational support, and health education, the activity contributes in building an academic environment that is focused on education and also contributes in improving the quality of life of the academic community and society.
