Yogyakarta, August 7, 2026 – Angeline Louisabethania, a 2024 student of the Tourism Studies Master Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM), served as a speaker in the National Webinar titled “Tips and Tricks for Winning Scholarships: A Sure Path to Achieving Your Dreams,” organized by the Yogyakarta Special Region Language Ambassador Association (Ikatan Duta Bahasa Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta). The webinar was held online via Zoom Meeting on Saturday, October 12th 2024.
Angeline, during the webinar, a recipient of the LPDP Domestic Master’s Scholarship, shared her experiences and practical strategies for preparing a successful LPDP scholarship application. She explained the administrative requirements, application and selection process, as well as offered valuable advice on developing a strong study plan and preparing for the scholarship interview.
The webinar also featured three other distinguished speakers: Ahimsa Wardah Swadeshi, recipient of the LPDP Overseas Master’s Scholarship; Fahri Ali Multazam, recipient of the Indonesian Excellence Scholarship (Beasiswa Unggulan) for a bachelor’s degree; and Aisyah Akhlaqul Karimah, recipient of the Indonesian Excellence Scholarship for a master’s degree. Angeline, Fahri, and Aisyah served as the 2023 Yogyakarta Language Ambassadors, while Ahimsa represented the 2022 Yogyakarta Language Ambassadors.
The webinar attracted students and members of the public from various regions who were interested in pursuing higher education through scholarship programs. Participants actively engaged in the discussion by asking questions about selecting study programs, writing compelling scholarship essays, preparing for interviews, and learning from the speakers’ experiences as scholarship recipients.
Angeline’s participation as a speaker reflects the active contribution of SPs UGM students in sharing knowledge and experiences with the wider community. The event also demonstrated the commitment of the Yogyakarta Language Ambassadors to promoting educational literacy and expanding public access to information on scholarship opportunities for Indonesia’s younger generation.
SPs UGM, with activities such as this, continues to encourage its students to contribute not only through academic excellence but also by inspiring and motivating others to pursue higher education and achieve their educational aspirations.
