The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) held a follow-up discussion with the Vice Deans for Research and Community Service from the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Animal Science, as well as the Director of Partnerships and Global Relations UGM, to discuss academic, research, and community service collaboration with Zhengzhou University (ZZU). This meeting took place on March 12th 2025, at the Leadership Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, SPs UGM.

The discussion focused on several strategic aspects of collaboration, including academic mobility through the admission scheme for ZZU students at UGM and a joint supervision program. Additionally, the mechanism for nominating ZZU students who will continue their studies at UGM and the appointment of academic supervisors was also discussed.

Another key aspect of the discussion was the formulation of procedures, rights, and obligations within the collaboration, covering both academic and non-academic aspects, including the organization of guest lectures and public lectures. The collaboration also explored joint research and publication initiatives between researchers from both institutions, as well as coordination regarding the use of laboratory facilities to support academic and research activities.

The meeting participants agreed to schedule a follow-up discussion, to further refine the collaboration framework, in determining strategic steps moving forward.

This collaboration is expected to open up more opportunities in education, research, and community service between UGM and Zhengzhou University, ultimately contributing positively to scientific development and innovation on an international scale.
