The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) strengthened national strategic insight with active participation in the National Seminar of Pasis Dikreg LXVII SESKOAD FY 2026, held at the Prof. Dr. Satrio Building, Indonesian Army Command and Staff College (SESKOAD), on Wednesday, May 13th 2026, in Bandung. The national seminar theme was “From Combat Force to Strategic Force: Indonesian Army Transformation through TP Infantry Battalions, AI, and the National Economy.”

During the event, the Quality Assurance Coordinator of the Master’s and Doctoral Program in National Resilience at SPs UGM, Prof. Dr. Armaidy Armawi, attended as a respondent in a strategic forum that brought together academics, military officials, government representatives, and national researchers. His presence played an important role in enriching academic perspectives on Indonesia’s military transformation in the era of technology and artificial intelligence.

Doctoral (S3) and Master (S2) students of the National Resilience Program at SPs UGM also attended the seminar series as part of strengthening academic capacity and national insight among younger generation. Their involvement in this national forum became a valuable opportunity to better understand the dynamics of national defense directly from policymakers and national strategic practitioners.

The National Seminar of Pasis Dikreg LXVII SESKOAD FY 2026 featured several national figures as keynote speakers and resource, including Chairman of the National Economic Council General TNI (HOR) (Ret.) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, Prof. Yohanes Surya, Ph.D., and Prof. Sri Fatmawati, Ph.D.

This event served as an important platform for building synergy of academic and defense institutions in formulating Indonesian Army transformation strategies adapting to technological developments, geopolitics, and future security challenges. SPs UGM’s participation also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to support the development of outstanding human resources in national resilience and strategic policy.

The active involvement of lecturers and students in national forums such as this, SPs UGM continues to encourage the emergence of critical and collaborative ideas to strengthen national resilience amid increasingly dynamic global changes.
