Jogja, the music sounded loud enough to accompany the morning exercise, where the number of participants filled the courtyard of the UGM Postgraduate Building on Friday morning, April 26, 2016. Shouts of encouragement from the gymnastics instructors were also greeted by the gymnastics participants, so the atmosphere was even more festive.
After the exercise, which was held for about an hour, the participants still gathered to listen to the remarks given from the Korpagama and from the Dean of SPs, while enjoying the dishes that had been prepared. The participants in this gymnastics consist of representatives of Educators, Education Personnel at UGM, as well as from the BNI Postgraduate Branch who were deliberately invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 36th Anniversary of UGM Graduate School.
In Prof. Ir.Achmadi Priyatmojo, M.Sc. Ph.D who is familiarly called Prof. Ipik, from Korpagama UGM congratulated the Postgraduate School on a happy birthday. “The age is mature enough,” he said. According to Prof. Ipik, this Korpagama can be a good place to get to know one another.
Prof. Ipik also said that this year, there were many Korpagama activity programs. The activity programs have been informed to the unit management so that they can be submitted to each of the members.
“It is hoped that this existing program can further improve our performance, get to know each other,” said Prof. Ipik. In his closing remarks, Prof. Ipik said “Once again, congratulations on celebrating the 36th anniversary of the UGM Postgraduate School, I hope it will continue to be successful and progress.” He concluded.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the UGM Graduate School, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkahamah, M.Sc., Ph.D, expressed her gratitude to all parties who were involved in this event. Prof. Malkahmah also informed that the series of events for the 36th Anniversary of SPs will be filled with various kinds of competitions such as sports, cooking, video competitions and so on. Prof. Malkahamah also hopes that this event can be useful.
After giving his speech, Prof. Malkahamah cut the tumpeng as a sign of the commencement of the anniversary, and the tumpeng pieces were given to, Dr. Kris Budiman, chairman of the Anniversary committee and lecturer at the UGM Graduate School of Cultural and Media Studies program. (SPs / AW)
