Graduate Student Association of Gadjah Mada University will conduct a Graduate Student National Symposium which is the first symposium for graduate students in Gadjah Mada University. The theme for this symposium is “100 years of National Awakening in Different Perspective” which is held in Graduate School Building, Jl, Teknika Utara, Pogung in 15-16 May 2008.
The symposium aims as a national gathering forum which invites graduate students and young scholars from different field of studies in order to raise attention and active participations for the better life. The Symposium also aims at searching for solution for solving problems from different perspective, such as: field of studies, religions and cultures. Furthermore, this event tries to create network among youth in Indonesia.
This symposium will be officially opened by Minister of National Education (in which He is going to talk about “Orientation if Education in Graduate Level in Indonesia”), and Rector of Gadjah Mada University. Besides the opening speeches by Minister and Rector, this symposium invites Prof. Amin Rais to give keynote speech. This opening session will be held at Graduate School Building 5fl. The session will be contined by paper presentation which is held at PAU building 3fl. This symposium will be end in 16 Mei 2008.
