Friday (22/10/2019), students of the UGM National Resilience Postgraduate Study Program had the opportunity to visit the Indonesian National Defense Institute (Lemhannas). The activity entitled Field Lecture is intended to provide knowledge and scientific insights as well as improve the spirit and character of leadership for UGM National Resilience Masters Students.
The group from UGM led by the Head of the UGM National Resilience Master Program, Prof. Dr. Armaidy Armawi, M.Sc., brought along 39 students consisting of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Cooperation Class, Ministry of Defense and the regular class. The activity began with giving a public lecture on the National Resilience Index Measurement System and Public Policy Simulation, which was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. Dadan Umar Daihani, DEA., As Professionals from Lemhannas RI in the field of Natural Resources and National Resilience.
Apart from getting a public lecture, students also have the opportunity to visit the National Resilience Measurement Laboratory (Labkurtannas) of Lemhannas RI. Received directly by Marsma TNI Ade Dian Suryacandra, M.Sc., as the Head of the Indonesian National Institute of National Defense Labkurtannas, students not only gain new insights about measuring the national resilience index, but also conduct interactive discussions, especially about the positive reception from the National Defense Institute for students who need information. data for thesis writing purposes.
Marsma Ade, who is also an alumni of the UGM National Resilience Master Program, class of 2008, said that UGM and Lemhannas are like brothers who have had a longstanding cooperative relationship. Marsma Ade also hopes that students can apply the knowledge or insights gained during field studies at Lemhannas in research activities or thesis writing, and by knowing the importance of measuring the Indonesian national resilience index, it is hoped that it can be used as a guide in upholding national values.
While students take part in lecturing activities, the Head of UGM National Resilience Master Program, Prof. Dr. Armaidy Armawi, M.Sc., accompanied by the Secretary of the Study Program, Dr. Ahmad Zubaidi, M.Sc., and Drs. Syafiq Effendhy, M.Sc., as the Study Program Quality Assurance Coordinator, was received by Laksma TNI Budi Setiawan, S.T., as the Head of the Lemhannas RI Cooperation and Settlement Law Bureau to discuss the follow-up of the cooperation that has been established between UGM and Lemhannas RI.
The cooperation that has been established so far includes programs to improve the quality of Human Resources through the holding of a Postgraduate Program. Prof. Armaidy also conveyed that through the collaboration between UGM and Lemhannas it is hoped that it can produce prospective policy makers who instill the values “‹”‹of Pancasila.
Apart from visiting Lemhannas RI, the entourage from the National Resilience Master Program also paid a visit to the Jaya / Jayakarta Military Regional Command.
