The Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is opening a Fast Track registration for the Fall semester of 2024/2025 academic year.
The registration requirements are as follows: applicants must be undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering at UGM, currently in their 6th semester, with a GPA more than 3.25, having completed more than 80 credits, and a TOEFL score more than 500, TPA score more than 550, or equivalent. In addition to these requirements, Fast Track applicants must obtain a recommendation letter from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and submit a statement of willingness to participate in the Fast Track program.
Accepted Fast Track applicants will attend classes in the Master’s Program during their seventh semester of their undergraduate studies. Initially, students will attend classes in their current undergraduate department and concurrently in the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering. Accepted participants will only need to pay tuition fees at their undergraduate department for the first two semesters; starting from the third semester, Fast Track students will pay tuition fees in the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering.
The normal study period for Fast Track students in the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering is the same as the regular student. It will consist of four semesters or two years, including scholarships or collaborations.

As stated by the Head of the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering, the Fast Track program accelerates outstanding graduates towards obtaining an S2 degree in Biomedical Engineering. This program is also aligned with the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 17 on Partnership for the Goals.
