Yogyakarta, 23rd–24th June 2025 – The Leadership and Policy Innovation Master Program (MKIK), UGM Postgraduate School, visited by a team of assessors from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Education, Social, and Politics (LAMSPAK) for field assessment of the study program accreditation process.
The assessment was carried out by two assessors from LAMSPAK, Prof. Dr. Yulianto and Dr. Ulber Silalahi, who conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the quality and sustainability of the program. They reviewed various aspects including governance, vision and mission, curriculum, learning process, human resources, and academic output achievements.
In the opening session, Prof. Yulianto expressed his appreciation for the quality of the MKIK accreditation form. “Although the Leadership and Policy Innovation Master Program is inside a large institution, I read that the form is very detailed, complete, and very thorough,” he said. This statement gives the impression that MKIK is managed with a down-to-earth spirit and has a strong orientation on substance’s quality .
The visitation, which lasted for two days, also involved a discussion session with the chiefs of the dean’s office and programs, lecturers, education staff, students, and alumni. This interaction opened up space for reflection and continuous improvement for the program.
In the closing session, Dr. Ulber Silalahi emphasized the importance of the visitation as a means of evaluation. “This visitation is one of the events to evaluate the performance of the program so far, so it is hoped that there will be an evaluation, especially on the depth and uniqueness of the study program as the root of the curriculum to become the direction of the graduate profile,” he said.
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Maryudi, S.Hut., M.For., as the Chief of the MKIK Program, expressed his commitment to the input provided by the assessor. “We are very grateful for many inputs, and coincidentally in the next few months the study program will hold an internal curriculum workshop agenda, so we will note the inputs for us to follow up on,” he said.
This visitation activity is an important milestone in efforts to improve the academic quality of the MKIK Program. The study program, with an in-depth and reflective assessment process, hopes to continue to develop a curriculum that is relevant, innovative, and firmly rooted in the needs of society and the dynamics of future leadership and policy.
