Yogyakarta, August 26, 2026 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) organized a Sharing Session on Filling Out the SCA THE IR (Times Higher Education Impact Rankings) Form, facilitated by the UGM Quality Assurance and University Reputation Unit (SPMRU) Team. This strategic meeting took place on Wednesday, July 29th 2026, at the East Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Unit 1, SPs UGM Building, running from 09.00 to 11.00 WIB. The event was attended by several educational staff and team members within SPs UGM, including Ika Krisnadewi, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ana Anggraini, S.Pd., M.Hum., Berlian Belasuni, S.Pd., and other staff members officially invited by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom.
The main agenda of this sharing session was to align perceptions and improve the understanding of the SPs UGM internal team in preparing the data and supporting evidence required for the THE Impact Rankings to boost the achievement of the 17 SDGs. The discussion focused on fulfilling the criteria, particularly for the SDG 17 metric: Partnerships for the Goals, which is a mandatory indicator in the overall of THE IR assessment. The UGM SPMRU Team provided detailed guidance regarding specific indicators such as relationships with regional NGOs and government for SDG policy (17.2), the mandatory publication of SDG progress reports (17.3), and the institution’s commitment to meaningful education around sustainability (17.4). Documenting evidence of international collaborations, cross-sectoral dialogues, as well as student research and volunteering programs became crucial points dissected in completing the form.
This mentoring activity established SPs UGM hopes to contribute comprehensive, valid, and structured data to support UGM’s position in global rankings. This strong internal collaboration between leaders, educational staff, and the quality assurance team reflects the institution’s tangible commitment to implement international best practices. Moving forward, SPs UGM is expected to fulfill the administrative requirements of THE IR and also to continually implement the values of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals tangibly to provide a positive impact on higher education and the wider community.
