Yogyakarta, September 30th 2026 – The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held the final round of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition as part of the 43rd Anniversary of the UGM Graduate School on Wednesday (30/9). The event took place at the Auditorium on the 5th Floor of the UGM Graduate School and carried the theme “Strengthening Interdisciplinarity toward National Self-Reliance.”
The Dean of the UGM Graduate School, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., opened the final round with her remarks. The event then continued with remarks from the Chair of the Committee, Dedy Wibowo, S.IP.
Participants and the organizing committee, following the committee chair’s remarks, took part in a group photo session before the main competition began. A total of 10 finalists from various programs at the UGM Graduate School presented their research. Each finalist is given three minutes to deliver their presentation.
The ten finalists were Annafis Manaruzzaki from the Biomedical Engineering Master Program; Anniza Citra Prajasari from the Islamic Economics and Halal Industry Doctoral Program; Dina Aprilia from the M Environmental Science Master Program; Endah Putri Handayani and Lidaena Umami from the Higher Education Management Master Program; Mikhael Mestro M.S. from the Tourism Doctoral Program; Rizky Romadhona from the National Resilience Doctoral Program; Siti Hajar Binti Aznam from the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Doctoral Program; Ulfani from the Environmental Science Master’s Program, Environmental Management concentration; and Voettie Wisataone from the Extension and Development Communication Doctoral Program.
The participants, in the final round, presented their research before a panel of judges consisting of Dody Wibowo, S.IP., M.A., Ph.D., Ahmad Suparmin, S.P., M.AgrSc., Ph.D., and Ratih Fitria Putri, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. Each presentation was assessed based on the competition’s established criteria.
After all finalists had completed their presentations, the committee proceeded with the compilation of the assessment results. The event continued with the announcement of the winners and the presentation of awards.
