The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) held a Farewell Ceremony for Retiring Staff as a form of appreciation and recognition for the dedication and service of its administrative staff throughout their years of service. On this occasion, two administrative staff members, Mr. Pudji Widodo and Mr. Sartana, concluded their service at SPs UGM.
The event was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026, at the Auditorium on the 5th Floor of SPs UGM. It served as a meaningful moment to reflect on the retirees’ journey of service and to express appreciation for their contributions to the institution.
The event began with opening remarks by the leadership, followed by a brief reading of the retirees’ profiles. The leadership of SPs UGM then delivered remarks expressing appreciation for their dedication and contributions. On the occasion, a representative of the retirees also delivered remarks and shared messages upon completing their years of service.
SPs UGM presented commemorative gifts to Mr. Pudji Widodo and Mr. Sartana as a token of appreciation. The event continued with a group photo session involving the leaders, retirees, and their families, creating lasting memories of the occasion.
The event concluded with a farewell greeting session and a gathering. A warm and family-like atmosphere filled the occasion as colleagues at SPs UGM personally expressed their gratitude, prayers, and best wishes to both retirees as they entered their retirement years with good health, happiness, and meaningful experiences.
This event showed SPs UGM reaffirmed the importance of the contributions’ recognition of every individual who has been part of the institution’s journey, and fostering an inclusive, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
