The Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) inaugurated 136 graduates at its graduation ceremony held on April 22nd–23rd, 2026. The graduates comprised 109 master and 27 doctoral graduates, who successfully completed their studies in various multidisciplinary fields.

Their impressive academic achievements were also reflected in the cum laude honors earned by 68 master’s graduates and 4 doctoral graduates. This figure showed that the majority of graduates maintained high academic standards with their studies.

The graduates, beyond the sheer number, also achieved a variety of impressive achievements reflecting the diverse profile of the graduates. In the fastest graduate category, Syahara Listyawan successfully completed his Master’s in Biomedical Engineering in 1 year, 5 months, and 18 days, while Yusdiyen Hadinata completed his doctoral program in 3 years, 1 month, and 4 days.

The graduates’ backgrounds, in terms of age, are also clearly diverse. In the master program, the youngest graduate is Agrit Kirana Bunda at 23 years old, while the most senior graduate is Annisa Ullya Rasyida at 49 years old. Meanwhile, at the doctoral level, the youngest graduate is Muhammad Zakiy at 34 years old, and the most senior graduate is Tonda Priyanto at 62 years old.

The highest academic achievements were also achieved by several graduates with a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0. At the doctoral level, this achievement was achieved by Yusdiyen Hadinata, and at the master level, it was achieved by Berliana Haza Fatikah. In addition, several other doctoral graduates also achieved a 4.0 GPA, demonstrating consistent, very high academic performance.

These diverse achievements reflected that UGM Graduate School graduates are academically excellent and possess diverse character traits—in terms of age, pace of study, and academic background. This is a key strength in producing adaptable graduates capable of contributing in various sectors.

This graduation ceremony is an important milestone for the graduates, marking both academic success and the beginning of a new journey in the professional world. The graduates are expected to bring the values of scholarship, integrity, and usefulness to every role they undertake, whether as academics, researchers, practitioners, or policymakers.

The Graduate School graduates, as UGM alumni,  are expected to continue to maintain networks and collaborations, and actively contribute to the development of science and community development. With these competencies, the graduates are expected to become agents of change adaptive to global dynamics.
