SPs UGM Actively Participated in Workshop on Writing Press Releases and SDGs Media Content

Yogyakarta, April 21st 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) actively participated in a workshop on writing press releases and media content themed on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event was held at Multimedia Room 1, UGM.

The workshop was attended by public relations representatives and media managers from various units within UGM, including SPs. It aimed to enhance participants’ capacity in developing communication narratives that are informative, engaging, and impactful, particularly in publishing SDGs-related programs and achievements.

The University Secretary, In his remarks, Andi Sandi Antonius emphasized the importance of exploring information in greater depth when reporting on SDGs. According to him, every program related to SDGs carries strategic value that must be communicated effectively to the public. “We need to explore every aspect of activities more deeply therefore SDGs messages are delivered and also provide comprehensive understanding to society,” he stated.

The SPs public relations team, with this workshop, was equipped with effective press release writing techniques and the use of various digital platforms to broaden information reach. The active participation of SPs UGM in this activity is expected to strengthen the institution’s role in disseminating high-quality information while supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals at both national and global levels.
