Postgraduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) once again enlivened the 5th Edition of the Railway Tech Indonesia 2024 educational exhibition organized by the Indonesian Railway Society (MASKA) on 30th July-1st August 2024 at JIEXPO, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, organized by PT Global Expo Management (GEM) Indonesia. This exhibition was attended by various national, multi-national and international scale institutions in the field of education, railway companies, construction companies, and institutions or companies involved in information and technology services.
MASKA is an organization that accommodates experts and professionals who have interest and knowledge in the field of railways. Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., Dean of SPs UGM who is member of MASKA holds a position on the expert council. This is an opportunity for SPs to expand relationships and strengthen personal branding when participating in the RailwayTech Indonesia 2024 exhibition.
SPs were also present at the exhibition stand together with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University (DTSL FT UGM). SPs and DTSL FT UGM work together to provide information to all exhibition visitors regarding study programs and academic services, especially postgraduate programs at SPs and the UGM Faculty of Engineering.
Exhibition activities are also filled with seminars and discussions in a special forum which aims to provide product knowledge information to the participants present. SPs with its superiority, namely a multidisciplinary postgraduate program, provides an attraction for visitors to explore knowledge more deeply with varied educational backgrounds.
Several institutions were also present at the SPs and DTSL stands to offer collaborative programs, especially to establish the tridharma pillars of higher education. This is in line with efforts to establish sustainable development (Sustainable Development Goals) pillar 4 concerning quality education, pillar 16 concerning peace, justice and strong institutions, and pillar 17 concerning partnerships to achieve the goals.
