INA-STENT

 Biomedical Engineering Studies Graduate School UGM have an excellent research for prototype of heart ring (Ina-stent). This research involves 5 faculties (Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering and Pharmacy), as well as undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students. The product (INA-Stent) was developed by the research team of Biomedical Engineering UGM within six years of research. The research is funded by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. It is expected to produce a standardized quality product at affordable cost, so that it supports government policies in health services. INA-stent development has been published in national and international seminars. Patent applications have also been filed in 2015 under registration number P00201502623. The testing process has been carried out up to pre-clinical trial stage and clinical trial preparation.

Meanwhile, a production line has also been prepared at UGM Science & Techno Park. Instruments for cardiovascular clinical diagnosis and treatment have been prepared at Cath Lab, “Prof. Soeparwi” Animal Hospital, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM.
